Hello Beautiful People,
This week I bounced around in different directions like one of those metal balls in a pinball machine. Garden and pets are a persistent theme, as is my scattered brain.
That’s why this week’s Journal dips a toe in the theme of dreams and how to make shit happen. There is much to say on this topic and I admit I am only scathing the surface. The conversations I had around this showed me my own ambiguity: On the one hand I am a firm believer in dreaming big, but I have felt lost lately. Which on the other hand has made me sceptical, or even averse, when it comes to the endless stream of content available about “productivity”. I lack clarity, so feel free to put in your 2 cents in comments. Are avid dreaming, action and accomplishment inextricable concepts?
My picture essay is inspired by the upcoming high school reunion. We have a class of 95 group app (the year we graduated from grammar school) that I drifted in and out of, and where my friends generously shared the beautiful photos. It’s bitter sweet reminiscing. For your future reference I also share this New York Times article, in case your reunion is coming up soon too. Considering I am feeling like a bit of a screwball myself I also remind you of this giggly bit of cinematic nonsense: Anyone remember Romy & Michele…
A recurrent theme in my life is a lack of sleep. This week has been particularly gruesome and I am slowly going a bit loopy because of it. I only realized reading everything back this week that my column and journal are connected in terms of dreams and productivity. Without sleep I will have to become a professional day dreamer. That way I get at least one thing done…
One last note before I sign off is AI. I said to a friend yesterday: “This my sound childish, but I wish AI wouldn’t exist so we don’t have to deal with it.” I can’t put it into words yet, but I will have a crack at it for next week. In the meantime I leave you to ponder these:

PS One of my favourite movies is the science of sleep…. I don’t mean it ironically :-)
